Hi, I am Gearóid O’Callaghan, also known as “The Whisky Jack”. I am based in Hamburg, Germany but grew up in Ireland where there is a long history of whiskey-making and drinking. For me, whiskey is something to be enjoyed by anyone who would like to; young or old (and over 18 of course). 

I started The Whisky Jack with the aim of taking the snobbery out of whisky and making it accessible to everyone who is interested. Over recent years, the world of whisky has bloomed and moved on in every way. The stuffiness has gone; it's exciting and rapidly changing. There are now more active distilleries than ever before.

I work as an independent consultant, host whisky events, and speak at corporate events throughout Europe. I also organise activation events - from BBQ events or cooking over an open fire, to cocktail making or pairing with coffee/beer.

When enjoyed in moderation, whisky really is something beautiful to be enjoyed with friends and family. So join us and say cheers!
