When the summer was the summer and winter seemed so far away The Whisky Jack teamed up with Black Delight in Hamburg and we had a bourbon, blues and barbecue whisky tasting. I have to admit we had a great evening. The barbecue was great and it goes to show what a difference high welfare meat means! I'm not sure if I'll ever love bourbon but that's even more of a reason to try some more, keep your mind open and maybe do it all again next summer!

Thanks to everyone who came to the tasting last night. This time we had an introduction to Ireland with a fair few beginners on board and we had a great time. We had a minor celbrity with us in the form of Midleton very rare and Caroline from Jameson came along too with a bottle of Caskmates.
This was a great evening and as luck had it it was cold and rainy too.... perfect weather to enjoy the smokey delights of Islay.
